ABCTC Agility Seminar and Camp Terms and Conditions

This document is a duplicate of one that you accepted when you registered online for your seminar or camp.  As a part of your registration, you have (or will have) agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Section 1 – Disclaimer and Waiver of Liability

I hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in dog training activities with ABCTC. I am aware that there are inherent risks and hazards involved with and around dogs, and I am voluntarily participating in the activities with the knowledge of these potential dangers. I am not relying on ABCTC or ANN BRAUE to prevent such occurrences. In order to participate in ABCTC training classes, demonstrations, or other activities, I, being fully informed of such risks and hazards, agree to assume ALL RISK OF SUCH OCCURRENCE.

I hereby waive any and all claims or actions I or my guardians, representative or assigns may have against ABCTC or ANN BRAUE and agree to release ABCTC OR ANN BRAUE from liability in any and all personal injuries to myself, my dog, children in my charge, or harm to property causes directly or indirectly by any acts that might occur in conjunction with dog training classes, or other activities. I also agree to assume sole responsibility for injury or damage caused by myself, children in my charge, or by the dog I own or handle during participation in ABCTC classes, events and activities and further indemnify, defend, and hold ABCTC or ANN BRAUE harmless from any damage, loss, liability, or expense, including legal costs and attorney fees, which result from damage caused by myself, children in my charge, or the dog I own or handle.

Section 2 – Cancellation and Refund Policy

As much as we care about all of our customers and their dogs, and we are extremely pained when we hear of either personal or canine tragedies, our training is a business. We have tried to develop the most lenient cancellation and refund policy possible, while still respecting the needs of the business.  It is critical that you read the following information carefully as there are NO exceptions to our cancellation policy other than being called to active military duty.

2.1  Customer Initiated Cancellation

In the event that a seminar participant chooses to cancel their seminar or camp registration, any potential refund will be determined per the following policy:

2.1A Cancellations Made More Than 4 Months Prior to the Seminar Start Date

  • Any cancellations made 4 months, or more, prior to the start of the seminar will receive a full refund of the amount paid (minus a 10% administration fee) regardless of whether the seminar is full, or still has open working spots remaining.

2.1B Cancellations Made Less Than 4 Months Prior to the Seminar Start Date

  • Any cancellations made less than 4 months of the start of the seminar will receive a full refund of the amount paid (minus a 10% administration fee) ONLY if the working spot is successfully filled from the seminar wait list.
  • Cancellations made less than 4 months of the start of the seminar where there is not a seminar wait list, or the open spot cannot be filled, will not receive a refund.

2.2  All Other Cancellations

In the event that a seminar is cancelled by ABCTC for any reason (including, but no limited to, facility issues, natural disaster, government closure or restriction, …) refunds will be determined per the following policy:

  • All registration fees paid will be refunded, less any non-refundable payment fees charged by the payment company (PayPal, credit card, …). If you have paid by a method with no payment fees (check, …), you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.  Simply put, we will refund absolutely everything that ABCTC has received.

Section 3 – A Few Other Rules

3.1  Your Working Spots is Your Working Spot

You may not sell, trade, or give away your seminar spot for any reason.  If you do need to cancel, your spot must be filled, if possible, from the seminar wait list.

3.2  Bitches in Season

Bitches in season are allowed to work at seminar but need to wear britches at all times. You may be asked to potty your dog in a special location and crate away from the other dogs during each session. Please inform ABCTC if your dog comes into season, or is expected to come into season during the seminar.

3.3  Conduct and Dismissal

ABCTC prides itself on its educational programs and endeavors to provide its participants with the best learning experience possible. Accordingly, we reserve the right to reject any applicant whom ABCTC, in its sole discretion, determines to be incompatible with the accomplishment of a successful seminar. ABCTC also reserves the right to dismiss any participant from the seminar for failure of the participant to comply with Seminar Rules or for any other disruptive behavior on the part of a participant or their dog(s)

Congratulations!  You made it to the end of the Terms and Conditions.  We apologize for the boring legal details, but it is very important to us that we be able to provide a safe, organized and fun event for you and your dog.  Thank you.
